Before treatment:
The patient’s speaking ability was worse than normal kids, he also had abnormal mental behavior then he was diagnosed with autism. He did some rehabilitation training but his condition was not improved. He went to a special school, his motor function was normal. At present he has bad intelligence ability, he is unable to speak, he doesn’t like contact with others and he can eat by himself. He needs help with urination and defecation. His mental behavior is not good.
His sleep patterns and height are normal but he is thinner than normal.

Admission PE:
Bp: 102/72mmHg, Hr: 102/min, breathing rate: 20/min, body temperature: 36.2 degrees. Height was 152cm, weight was 35Kg. Nutrition status is good with normal physical development. The physical examination of his heart, lungs and abdomen were normal.

Nervous System Examination:
Patient was alert and mental status was good. He had intelligence development delay. He can make a handshake and have eye contact with others but no speech. He can communicate with others by body posture but he does not like body contact. He did not like light or to open his mouth and he cannot focus on something. He needs help for part of his daily routine cleaning, can dress himself and he can feed himself. He like music and playing with a computer. Patient can cooperate with the professional training but his learning ability was poor. There was no obvious motion fluctuation and no attack tendency. He could not complete the examination of memory, calculation and orientation ability. His comprehensive ability was fine and his response was clumsy. The muscle power of his 4 limbs was normal by gross measure. He can walk and turn around but more slowly than normal, his balance control was below standard. He could not complete the fingers fine motor skills examination or perform the finger opposite movement. The right leg pathological signs were positive and other pathological signs were normal.

Treatment:
After the admission he received 3 times nerve regeneration treatment(neural stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells) to repair his damaged nerves, activate nerves, nourish nerves, regulate his immune system and improve blood circulation. This was done with rehabilitation training.     

Post-treatment:
After 13 days treatment his mental status was stable, he had a much more alert response to the outside environment and to others. He was not as afraid of light as before and he can now try to open his mouth a little bit. His attention and learning skills are better.
