Before treatment:
The patient was a 31 week premature birth when he was put in an incubator for 3 weeks. His family members found he had no reaction to moving objects 20 days after he was taken home and he was taken to hospital and diagnosed with retinopathy. His vision function was bad, he couldn’t see colors, he only had light sense in the left eye, he rubbed his eyes a lot and his right eye was blind. He was taken to our hospital 7 months ago and after the treatment his light sense was better. For now, he can see light at 50cms.
His spirit is better, his sleep and diet are normal, his urination and defecation functions are normal.

Admission PE:
Bp: 85/55mmHg, Hr: 90/min, breathing rate: 22/min, body temperature: 36 degrees. His height is 110 cm, weight 23Kg. Nutrition status was good with normal physical development. There was no injury or bleeding spots of his skin and mucosa, no blausucht and no throat congestion. The respiratory sounds in both lungs were clear and there was no dry or moist rales. The heart beat is powerful with regular cardiac rhythm and no obvious murmur in the valves. The abdomen was flat and soft with no masses or tenderness. The liver and spleen were normal.

Nervous System Examination:
Patient was alert and had clear speech. His memory, orientation and calculation abilities were normal. Right side pupil was irregular, left side pupil was round and reacted  to light in a clumsy way. He could not distinguish the color and complete the nystagmus examination, it is a doubtful that he had some response to yellow color. He could target the source of light change at 40 cm on the right side and on left side at 50cm. Doctors could not check the eyes fundus because of the cataract. The bilateral forehead wrinkle and nasolabial fold are symmetrical, swallowing function was normal, hearing ability was normal. Neck can move freely, the 4 limbs muscle tone and muscle power were normal. Tendon reflex of the 4 limbs was normal, abdomen reflex was normal, the sucking reflex was negative. The bilateral palm-jaw reflex was negative, the Hoffmann sign of both sides, the Rossilimo sign of both sides and the bilateral Babinski sign were all negative. Sensory and coordinate movement were basically normal. The meningeal irritation sign was negative.

Treatment:
After the admission he received 3 cell regeneration treatments (neural stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells) to repair his damaged retinal cells, replace dead cells, nourish cells, regulate his immune system and improve blood circulation. This was combined with rehabilitation training.     

Post-treatment:
After 14 days treatment his eyes had much better light sensation, the left eye can now see big objects and the right eye can see moving objects and light at a distance of 60cms.
