Our Past and Present

Our clinical application is based on the findings of our stem cell research from the last eleven years. The founder of Wu Medical Center (WMC), Mr. Like Wu, MD, Ph.D, is one of the pre-eminent experts in the use of stem cell technology for treating various neurological diseases in China today. Our medical center was named after him. Dr. Wu's many years of education and research experience in this field has earned him a large amount of respect from his colleagues and his expertise is reflected in the awards and recognition he has received. His accomplishments include over 30 published research articles he has written along with contributions to several other medical publications.

Since 2000, Dr. Wu and his colleagues have applied some of their research outcomes to the clinical treatment. Using the unique stem cell therapy, Dr. Wu and his team have treated more than 2,600 patients since 2005, with a total effective rate of nearly 90% and a significant effective rate of 73%, this has been accomplished without any safety issues. This has paved the way for the application of stem cell technologies to bring about a new reality of treatment not currently provided by conventional medicine.
