Before treatment:
            The patient born through cesarean at the 25 weeks of pregnancy. The patient's weight was 700g at birth. She suffered from apnea at birth. The patient used Ventilator for breathe. She was kept in incubator for 1 month. During the time she was kept in the incubator, the patient suffered from poor blood oxygen due to alveolar dysplasia. She received related medication to improve alveolar situation and the patient's breathing was stabilized gradually. About 4 months later, the patient's condition was improved and discharged from hospital. The patient suffered from left eye vision abnormality and became blind. The retinal dysplasia and fallen off were considered. The patient still could study as normal baby before 6 years old. Then his right eye suffered from vision decline gradually. The patient received laser therapy to prevent retinal detachment. But the vision had no improvement. At the same time, the retinal detachment still progressed. So the patient received operation for retinal reattachment. Before the treatment, the patient's left eye was blind and right eye only had light sensation. She could see big object from a certain distance. She was unable to distinguish colors.

            From the onset of disease, the patient's spirit was normal. The development was normal. The diet and sleep were normal. The urine and defecation were normal. There was no genetic disease.

Admission PE:
             Bp: 100/60mmHg; Hr: 100/min, Br: 20/min. Height: 105cm, weight: 19Kg. The patient's development was slightly slower than a normal child. The nutrition was normal. The skin and mucosa were intact, with no yellow stain or petechia. The thorax was symmetrical; the respiratory sounds of both lungs were clear, with no dry or moist rales. The heart sound was strong. The rhythm of her heart was regular, and there was no obvious murmur in the valve area. The abdomen was flat and soft, with no masses. Through palpation, the liver and spleen were found to be normal.

Nervous System Examination:
            Cruz Balseca Danna Cecibel was alert and her speech was clear. Her memory and orientation were almost normal. She couldn't cooperate with the examination of pupils. She always closed eyes and photophobia. The color of both pupils presented with grey white. Her pupils had no response to light stimuli. Left eye had no light sensation. Right eye had light sensation. The patient could distinguish shadow from 10cm. She could distinguish outline of big object from a distance of 3 meters. She was unable to distinguish colors. She was unable to cooperate with the examination of eyeballs movement. The forehead wrinkle pattern was symmetrical, the nasolabial sulcus was equal in depth, the teeth were symmetrical and the tongue was centered in the oral cavity. There was flexible movement in the neck. The muscle tone of all four limbs was normal; the muscle strength of all four limbs was normal. The tendon reflex of her four limbs was normal. The abdominal reflexes were normal. The sucking reflex, palm and jaw reflex were negative. Bilateral Hoffmann sign was negative. The Rossolimo sign of both upper limbs was negative. The pathological reflex of both lower limbs was negative. She had normal deep and shallow sensation. The coordinate examination was normal.

Treatment: 
            We gave Cruz Balseca Danna Cecibel a complete examination, accompanied with her medical history, clinical manifestation and auxiliary examination, she was diagnosed with Retinal dysplasia. The patient received treatment for nerve regeneration and to activate stem cells in vivo. She received treatment to improve the blood circulation in order to increase the blood supply and nourish neurons. She also received treatment to enhanced immunity.

Post-treatment:
             The photophobic nature of patient's right eye is alleviated obviously. She can open eyes in a more natural manner. She opens eyes for a longer time than before. Left eye can see some sheets discontinuously. Right eye has obvious improvement: right eye can distinguish fingers and small object's outline in close range. Right eye also can distinguish the outline of home appliances in the room.
