Before treatment：
        Kiana’s mother began to experience repeatedly reduction in amniotic fluid when she was 12 weeks pregnant, then caesarean section was performed at 32nd week of gestation when there was an abnormal situation. Kiana was 3.7 pounds when she was born, and then she got infection which resulted in dyspnea and she kept under trachea cannula in hospital for 3 days. She was getting better after 8 days mask oxygen. Kiana was discharged from the hospital after she stayed for 12 days after birth, and her condition was good. She was 7 pounds after she was born in 7 weeks and then she was found to have bilateral mydriasis and retinal detachment when she was re-examined in the hospital. Both eyes injected with Avastin and suggested to take surgery. Kiana went to lots of hospitals and there were no effective treatment. Now, Kiana has reflex to close eyes only under strong light stimulation. Compare with Kiana’s peers, her language development has delayed.

        Since the onset of the disease, the patient’s spirit was good. Linguistic intelligence developmental retardation, her diet and sleep were normal. Her urine and defecation were normal.

Admission PE:
         Bp: 85/55mmHg; Hr: 96/min, Br: 25/min, height: 90cm, weight: 12Kg. Kiana’s growth and development was slower than her peers. The nutrition was normal. There were no yellow stains or petechial with her skin and mucosa. The thorax was symmetrical. The respiratory sounds of both lungs were clear, without moist rales. The heart sounds were strong, the rhythm was regular, and there was no obvious murmur in the valve area. Her abdomen was flat and soft, with no obvious masses. There were no abnormalities seen in her liver and spleen through palpation.

Nervous System Examination:
         Kiana was alert. She could say simple words only, such as dad, mom, bye-bye, but she couldn’t speak short sentences. Her memory and orientation abilities were normal. She didn’t cooperate with examination of pupils and eyeballs movement. Both eyes had light perception and she rubbed her eyes frequently. The forehead wrinkle pattern was symmetrical, the nasolabial sulcus was equal in depth, the teeth were symmetrical and the tongue was centered in the oral cavity. There was flexible movement in the neck. The muscle tone of all four limbs was normal; the muscle strength of all four limbs was at level 5. The abdominal reflex was normal. Her four limbs tendon reflexes were normal. The sucking reflex and the palm jaw reflex were negative. Her Limbs pathological signs were negative. The deep sensation and superficial sensation were normal. The coordinated movements were normal.

Treatment：
         We gave Kiana a complete examination. She was diagnosed with Retinopathy of Prematurity by her medical history, clinical manifestation and auxiliary examination. She received treatment to activate or launch her retina, neuro recovery and nerve regeneration. Activate her own stem cells; improve her blood circulation, trophic nerve and immune system improvement by medications.

Post-treatment:
         Kiana’s articulation increased, she can speak shot sentences. Her eye irritation symptoms obviously reduced. Light perceptions of her eyes have enhanced. The movement of rubbing eyes has reduced and her eyes can chase big luminary.
