Country: Oman
Age: 10
Diagnoses: Hereditary ataxia, epilepsy, anemia
Admission Date: 2010-11-12

Juhaina was born in 2000. She had horizontal nystagmus, with no other abnormalities. She began speaking when she was one and began walking at one and a half years old, but she began having an unusual gait. Around the age of two, her symptoms began progressing more rapidly, including developing problems with her speaking, and her walking becoming more unstable. With the progression of the disease Juhaina was eventually unable to walk without assistance. During this time, Juhaina's family did not seek treatment and as a result, her walking difficulty, speech and balance continued to deteriorate.

Juhaina's two elder brothers also suffer from the same disease, which prompted her parents to desperately seek effective treatment options in several different countries, but with little luck. After discovering the treatment options at Wu stem cells Medical Center, roughly two months ago, the family consulted with our doctors and made the decision to come here.

When Juhaina first arrived at our medical center, she was alert and in good spirits. Her voice was soft and her speech was slurred and ambiguous. Her examination showed normal cognitive abilities.

Both pupils were equal in size and round. The diameter of the pupils was 3.0mms. Both eyeballs could move freely and flexibly and the pupils were sensitive to light stimulus. It was discovered that she has horizontal nystagmus. The tongue was centered in the oral cavity, but the tip of the tongue was blunt and round and was unable to stretch out completely. There was no obvious atrophy or fibrillation in the tongue muscle, but the tongue could only slightly reach the inside of the cheeks.

We initially gave Juhaina a complete examination, and she was diagnosed with hereditary ataxia and epilepsy. We then proceeded with giving her nutritional treatment for the neurons and administering the self stem cells activation treatment and stem cell injections to repair the damaged neurons. Juhaina was also given treatment to improve the blood circulation to increase the blood supply to the damaged neurons. We also gave her traditional Chinese medicine and daily physical rehabilitation training.

After the completion of the stem cell treatment, Juhaina's voice became louder and her speech became clearer than before. The occurrences of the epileptic seizures have decreased. The muscle strength of the arms has increased and the muscle tone is almost normal. Her legs are more flexible now. Juhaina can sit up on the bed for 3-5 minutes with her legs extended straight out in front of her and the strength of the muscles in her back has increased.

The entire staff of Wu Stem Cells Medical Center hopes that Juhaina will continue making solid improvements.
