Before treatment:
Mental retardation, motor disorder, poor speech ability, sensitive and easily disturbed, paranoid personality. The child was delivered by cesarean section at 32 weeks, birth weight 1Kg, no spontaneous breathing, diagnosed respiratory distress syndrome, deoxygenation after 48 hours of ventilator treatment, discharged from hospital after active treatment, left with motor disorders and mental retardation.

She came to our hospital for treatment three years ago, and after treatment, her motor function was significantly improved and she could walk independently; she could speak three-word short sentences with improved language ability, and now she came to our hospital for treatment again in order to further improve her cognitive function, language function and communication ability.

Admission for physical examination:
Heart rate 86 beats / min, blood pressure 107/78mmHg, height 144cm, weight 34kg, nutrition is OK. There is no yellow stain on the skin. There was no congestion in the pharynx and no enlargement of the tonsils. There were no abnormalities in heart, lung and abdomen.

Nervous system physical examination:
Clear mind, she could not cooperate in the physical examination, nervous easily. She could only speak 2-3 word phrases, could understand the simple words of others. Her calculation ability was poor, and with the help of others, she could slowly repeat the numbers one to ten. Bilateral pupil was 3mm, she was sensitive to light reflex. Bilateral forehead lines were symmetrical, tongue extension was in the middle, chewing and swallowing were normal. The muscle strength of the limbs was grade 5, and the fine movement of the hands was poor. The muscle tension of the extremities was slightly higher. The tendon reflex was symmetrical and the Babinski sign was negative. Meningeal irritation sign was negative.

Treatment process:
The diagnosis of admission was "cerebral palsy, periventricular leukomalacia". CAST treatment and neural stem cell + mesenchymal stem cell combined therapy were given to repair cerebral nerve injury, nourish cerebral nerve, improve circulation, regulate immunity, with comprehensive rehabilitation and so on.

After treatment:
The mental, intellectual and motor functions of the child were significantly better than those at the time of admission. During physical examination and rehabilitation training, her cooperative ability was significantly improved; her speech function was improved, she could speak sentences with six words; her comprehension was improved, so that she could understand relatively complex words; her concentration time increased, her learning ability increased, and her counting rate accelerated; when she came into contact with others, her nervousness and resistance were significantly reduced, and her conversation and communication skills were significantly improved. Limb movement flexibility was better than before, coordination was improved, endurance was increased. She could run independently, jump and could complete continuous movement of bouncing the ball.
