Before treatment:
Piotr felt weakness in right lower limb 17 months ago, he also had calf spasm and muscular tension, 3 months later, he left lower limb was weak and it was hard for him to walk, so he went to local hospital and do EMG test 8 months ago, he was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. The doctor prescribed medicines but he didn’t have any improvement, his disease got worse and worse. He felt weakness in upper limbs, back and waist 4 months ago. At present, his lower limbs are weak, he is unable to walk, climb stairs. Sometime, his back, shoulders and thighs have muscular spasms and fasciculation, his respiration function is also affected, when he speak more words, he feels weakness with breathing. He wants a better life so he comes to our hospital.
His spirit was good, his sleep was bad, he needed to take some pills to sleep. His diet and excrement were normal. He urinated a lot during night, 3-7 times each night. He had hypertension for several years.

Admission PE:
Bp: 139/89mmHg.Pulse: 68/min. Br: 18/min. Temperature: 36.3 degrees. Height 176cm. Weight: 85Kg.His body type and nutritional situation were normal. There were no yellow stains or petechia on his skin or mucous. The color of his lips was normal. There was no pharyngeal congestion. The tonsils were not enlarged. His bony thorax was symmetrical. The respiratory sounds in both lungs were clear, in base of lung were a little weaker. There were no dry or moist rales. There was no precordial bulge. The rhythm of the heartbeats was strong and regular. There was no obvious murmur in valves. The abdomen was enlarged with no pressing pain or rebound tenderness. The liver and spleen were normal under palpate touch. There was no edema in both lower limbs.

Nervous System Examination:
Patient was alert and his spirit was good. He spoke clearly. His memory, calculation and orientation abilities were normal. Both pupils were equal in size and round, the diameter was 3 mms. Both eyes had sensitive responses to light stimuli. Both eyeballs could move freely with no nystagmus. The nasolabial fold and forehead wrinkle pattern were symmetrical. His tongue was centered in the oral cavity. The muscle of tongue had mild atrophy. There was no tooth deflection. He could touch his cheeks with his tongue normally. He was able to blow his cheeks and chew easily. The strength to raise up soft palates was weak. He could close his eyes easily. His neck was soft, the muscle power of turn over his neck and shrug shoulders was strong. The muscle strength of left arm was level 5. The abduction strength of right arm was level 4+, and the adduction strength was level 4. The grip strength of hands is level 5. The muscle strength of legs is level 2+. The muscle tone of four limbs was normal. The ankle clonus was positive. At shoulder and thighs there were intermittent fasciculations. Bilateral tendon reflex of upper limbs were active. The patellar tendon reflex of legs was active. Bilateral Hoffmann sign, Rossilimo sign and Babinski were positive. The finger-to-nose test, rapid rotation test, finger-to-finger test were normal. The heel-knee-shin test was normal. The meningeal irritation was negative.

Treatment:
He was confirmed with the diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and hypertension. He received 3 neural stem cell injections and 3 mesenchymal stem cell injections to repair his damaged nerves, replace dead cells with new injected cells, active stem cells in his body, regulate his immune system, improve his blood circulation, nourish neurons and reduce blood pressure. This is accompanied with rehabilitation therapies.

Post-treatment:
After 2 weeks of treatment, his respiration function was better, the respiratory sound of lungs was clearer than before. The fasciculations and spasm has been less. The muscle strength of four limbs has improved. The abduction strength of right arm is level 5, the adduction strength is level 4+. The muscle strength of legs is level 3+. His energy and exercise tolerance was improved.
