Medical History:
Alfrid Steward Marcano was born when his mother was 7 months pregnant. There was no obvious anoxia suffocate history. There were no abnormalities after the patient was born. The patient couldn't raise his head or sit. He was sent to the local hospital. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Before treatment, the patient could move upper limbs flexibly. He could turn over, sit up or keep the sitting position. He could stand up with help from holding on to a large object. He couldn't stand or walk by himself. The development of the speech function lagged behind obviously. He could only repeat some words. He couldn't express hungry and thirsty. He couldn't count or add-subtract. He had poor understood ability. He could understand simple sentences which he has practiced many times, such as "lay down" and "Sit up". He could focus his attention to music. He played with his favorite toys. He had an asthmatic attack history.
Nervous System Examination:
Alfrid Steward Marcano had good spirits. He cried and screamed sometimes. He wouldn't cooperate with the examination of orientation, memory or calculation. The development of speech has obviously fallen behind. He could only repeat some words and had less autonomous language. He could follow simple instructions. He couldn't express hunger, thirst or defecation through language, but he could express them through hand signals. He was unable to count, do addition or subtraction. He could understand simple sentences practiced many times, such as "sit up, lay down" and so on. His behaviour was aggressive when he was angry. He could focus his attention when listening to music and playing which he liked. Both pupils were equal in size and round, the diameter was about 3.0mms. Both pupils were sensitive to respond to light stimuli. The movement of both eyeballs was flexible. There was no obvious nystagmus. The chewing and swallowing ability were normal. He had good control of his head. He couldn't cooperate with the examination of muscle strength. The four limbs had ability of locomotor activity. He could grasp and pinch objects. The muscle strength of the right upper limb was almost normal. The movement of the right hand was flexible. The muscle strength of the left upper limb was about level 3. The movement of the left hand was inflexible. He could take food by himself. He was able to turn over, sit up and keep a sitting position. He was unable to go down on his knees. He could stand up by himself with the assistance of the handrail. He couldn't stand by himself, he couldn't walk either. The muscle tone of both upper limbs was almost normal. The muscle tone of both lower limbs has increased. The tendon reflex of the four limbs was normal. The abdominal reflexes were normal. Bilateral palm jaw reflex was negative. Bilateral Hoffmann sign was negative. Bilateral Babinski sign was negative. He couldn't cooperate with other examinations.
Treatment:
After admission, Alfrid Steward Marcano received the relevant examinations, accompanied with his medical history. He was diagnosed with Cerebral palsy. The patient received treatment to improve the blood circulation in order to increase the blood supply to the damaged nerves, to nourish the neurons. He also received treatment to control his spirit and mood. This was combined with neurological rehabilitation treatment.
Post Treatment:
The patient's motor function and intelligence are improved. 1. Sports: the motor ability of the left upper limb has improved. The ranges of motion, flexibility and strength have increased. The spasms of both lower limbs are alleviated. The muscle tones of both lower limbs are reduced. Both knee joints can extend to a large angle. The patient's knee joints can open wide in a standing position. He can straighten both lower limbs in standing position. When the patient is in a good mood, with some assistance, he can walk two or 3 steps. 2. Intelligence aspects: He can cooperate better in rehabilitation. The aggressive behaviour is reduced obviously when he worries or is angry. He can almost finish most actions. The language function is better than before. He has more autonomous language. Sometimes he sings and counts. He is able to repeat other's language and answer a few questions. He is able to express his appeal actively. He is able to finish more instructions: such as touch nose and mouth, sing and clap.

Saludos a todo el equipo del Dr WU, siempre lo recordamos con mucho afecto, Steward ha progresado mucho, de manera sorpresiva. Esta mas atento, repite las palabras que recien escucha, canta mas canciones. Es un niño mas alegre aumento su fuerza muscular. Pero aun no ha querido colocarse de pie. Se esta haciendo lo posible para estimularlo, tambien estamos buscando la manera para volver a China y reciba el segundo tratamiento. Todo para que Steward continue mejorando como hasta ahora lo ha echo.
