Before treatment:
Jonatan was delivered through mature caesarean, his weight was 4.5kg when he was born, he was normal when he was born but his limbs became cramped 1 day after his birth, his cramps became more severe after that, he was diagnosed with epilepsy and received treatment. Fifteen days after his birth, his head development became abnormal. He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy when he was 1 month old. When he was young, he had grand mal epilepsy, so his doctor changed his medications. There were some small seizures during sleep, his head twisted when he had a seizure. The last seizure was a year before. His cognitive ability and motor development were delayed, he could only speak baba, ma, awa, his comprehension ability was bad, he knew his family members, he could understand some words, he could show his willingness through gestures, his chewing and swallowing were normal. He was unable to stay in a sitting position, standing position or walk. It was hard for him to turn his body over, his four limbs had involuntary movement, and he was unable to grasp objects. He went to our hospital to have the treatment to improve his motor function.
His spirits and sleep condition were good. He had constipation and he defecated once in 5-6 days, his urination routine was normal.

Admission PE:
Bp: 110/58mmHg.Hr: 90/min. Br: 36.7/min. HT: 128cm. WT: 19.5kg. Jonatan had poor nutrition. The skin and mucosa were normal, without yellow stains or petechia. Superficial lymph nodes had no swelling by palpate touch. The lips had no cyanosis and there was no swelling or congestion in the throat. The tonsils were not enlarged. The respiratory sounds in both lungs were clear, with no dry or moist rales. The heart sound was strong, the cardiac rate was normal, and there was no obvious murmur in the valves. His abdomen was flat and soft with no pressing pain or rebound tenderness. The liver and spleen were normal. There was no edema in the lower limbs.

Nervous System Examination:
Jonatan Jesus Acevedo was alert. His cognitive development was delayed. He could comprehend the meaning of what people were saying. He was able to communicate with simple gestures He could only pronounce ‘papa, ma, awa’. He was unable to perform the memory, orientation ability or calculation examinations. Both pupils were equal in size and round, the diameter was 3.0mms. Both pupils were sensitive to light stimulus. His eyes moved normally. The forehead wrinkle pattern was symmetrical and the nasolabial groove was equal in depth. He was unable to extend his tongue or show his teeth. His chewing and swallowing ability were normal. He could not cooperate with the muscle strength examinations of all four limbs. His four limbs had autonomous movement but it was difficult for him to turn his body over. He could not sit, stand, or walk independently. He could raise up his head temporarily. His hands could not grab objects. The muscle tone of all four limbs was higher than normal. The abdominal reflex was normal. The bilateral radial periosteal reflex, bi-ceps reflex, patellar tendon reflex, and ankle reflex were active. The bilateral ankle clonus could not be elicited. The bilateral palm-jaw reflex, sucking reflex, and Hoffmann’s sign were negative. The bilateral Babinski’s sign was negative. He could not cooperate with the sensory system check. 

Treatment:
After the examinations were completed for Jonatan Jesus Acevedo, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He received 4 neural stem cell injections and 4 mesenchymal stem cell injections to repair his damaged brain nerves, replace the dead nerves with new injected stem cells, improve his blood circulations, nourish the neurons and improve his nutritional status. This was accompanied with physical rehabilitation.            

Post-treatment:
After 20 days of treatment, Jonatan’s cognitive ability and movements has improved. He has more facial expression. His muscle tone in all four limbs has decreased. The muscle strength of the arms has upgraded half a level. His hands are able to open and have grasping ability. He can fetch an object in a stable manner. The legs have autonomous movement.
