Before treatment:
The patient was confused and she didn’t like to talk to others. She could not recognised her friends. She gets lost when out. Her family took her to a local hospital but she wasn’t diagnosed after MRI was taken. She took Co-Q10, folic acid, fish oil, levocarnitine, vitamin b complex and broncholysin but her condition was not better. Her family wanted a better treatment so she came to our hospital.

Her diet and sleeping were good. Her weight was normal. She defecated 1 time a day. Her urine was normal.

Admission PE:
Bp: 123/79mmHg, Hr: 73/min. BT: 36.5 degree, RP: 18/min. The pharyngeal was not waterlogged. The respiration of both lungs was clear, with no dry or moist rales. Her heart rhythm was normal and strong, without obvious murmur in the valves. The abdomen was flat and soft with no rebound tenderness or pressing pain. There was no mass. The liver and spleen were normal. There was no dropsy on both lower limbs.

Nervous System Examination:
Colleen Robinson was alert and good in spirit. Her orientation abilities was normal, memory and calculation were abnormal. It was three times she give the right first step of 100 minus 7, the precision was around 50%. The comprehension and reaction was slow. She seldom communicated with others due to inattentiveness. The diameter of both pupils was 3.0mms, and both pupils were equal in size and round. Both eyeballs could move freely and the pupils reacted normally to light stimulus without nystagmus. The forehead wrinkle pattern was symmetrical. Bilateral nasolabial sulcus was equal in depth. The tongue was centred in the oral cavity without tremor or atrophy. She could raise her soft palate strongly. The uvula was in the centre. She could move her head strongly but slowly, without tremor. She could turn over her neck and shrug her shoulders strongly. The muscle power of her four limbs was at level 5. Both side achilles reflex was normal, abdominal reflexes was abnormal. Left side Babinski sign was positive. Right side Babinski sign was negative. The rough depth determination of both sides were normal, the epicritic sensibility was normal. Both side finger-to-finger test and finger-nose test were slowly. Both side rapid rotation test were clumsy, especially the left hand. Both sides heel-knee-tibia test was normal. She walked and turned over slowly. The rombergs sign and meningeal irritation sign were negative.

Treatment:
Colleen Robinson was diagnosed as 1. Neurodegenerative Diseases 2. Cognitive disorder 3. Hyperlipemia after full examinations. She received treatment for nerve nutrition and to improve blood supply. She also had rehabilitation training.

Post-treatment:
After the treatment, her memory and calculation were better. Her comprehension, reaction, attention and cognitive were better than before. She could move faster. The rapid rotation test of left hand was better, the right hand was normal. The blood lipid was normal.

Dr Cherie informed me that  Dr Wu had tried a similar treatment ten years previously with mixed success

But now it appears the previous problems with the procedure  have been  mostly resolved

I hope your clinic can have this treatment available in the next year for patients with Parkinson's
