Thichin - Parkinson disease (Vietnam)
Name: Thichin
Sex: Female
Age: 57
Country: Vietnam
Diagnosis: Parkinson's disease
Before Treatment:
27 years ago, the patient suffered from tremors in her right hand, and then she developed tremors in the right side of her body as well. She took Madopar to relieve the symptoms. 17 years ago, she had severe tremors in all of her extremities, along with slow movement. 10 years ago, she had difficulty getting out of bed by herself. She had difficulty with walking and turning round, and had difficulty with her fine motor skills. Her symptoms continued getting worse. She had rigidity and could not walk, spoke in a low and shaky voice. During that period, she took Benzhexol to alleviate her symptoms.
Muscles were tight, cogwheel rigidity, severe tremors, and frequent urination throughout the night, unclear and low speech. She had tremors in her tongue muscles. The muscle force of the upper limbs was 4 degrees and the muscle force of the lower limbs was 3 degrees. Muscle tone increased severely.
Treatment:
She received one neural stem cell treatment via stereotactic brain injection together with Chinese medicine and rehabilitation therapy.
After Treatment:
The tremors were alleviated after the treatment. She can walk easier and can walk for a longer distance with help; the muscle force is stronger in all four limbs. She can communicate with her family better now.
FOLLOW UP: She can walk around and go shopping but still needs assistance with her daily care.
