After only two weeks of hospitalization, Mr. André Bordat showed remarkable improvement in motor function, with approximately 30% enhancement in various indicators.
Before treatment: Muscle strength for neck rotation and shoulder shrugging was grade 4.
After treatment: Muscle strength for neck rotation and shoulder shrugging improved to grade 5.
Before treatment: Left upper limb muscle strength grade 2, grip strength grade 2; right upper limb muscle strength grade 1+, grip strength grade 1+. For the finger-to-nose test, only the left index finger could complete the movement.
After treatment: Limb muscle strength increased. Proximal left upper limb muscle strength grade 3, grip strength grade 3; proximal right upper limb muscle strength grade 2+, grip strength grade 3-. When seated, his left upper arm can be lifted 10 cm. All fingers of his left hand can perform finger-to-thumb opposition, and he can hold a pen for simple drawing. His right elbow can maintain a flexed position against the chest for 2 seconds with passive placement; the right forearm can perform pronation and supination. Flexion and extension of the right fingers are more flexible than before, the right index finger can complete finger-to-thumb opposition, and grip strength is markedly increased.
Before treatment: Bilateral lower limb muscle strength grade 4.
After treatment: Bilateral lower limb muscle strength improved to grade 5.
Before treatment: Heart rate 95 beats per minute, respiratory rate 28 breaths per minute, oxygen saturation 94%.
After treatment: Cardiopulmonary function improved. Heart rate 70–80 beats per minute; resting respiratory rate around 20–22 breaths per minute. Breath sounds in the right lung are louder than before. Oxygen saturation remains above 95%, reaching a maximum of 97–98%.
Before treatment: He was physically weak and fatigued.
